Dear Apple Seed Academy Parents:

In opening, this is a very difficult letter to write because its news delivers a heartfelt decision we made that affects all of us. Months ago an opportunity knocked on our door affording me the occasion to have more time to focus on raising my children. It is with mixed emotions I say, we are selling the Academy.

As parents, we all know that time and dedication to our children helps shape them for their future. We have enjoyed so many wonderful experiences with owning our school. We’ve watched our vision come to achievement, and have enjoyed such great reward in being a part of each student’s life. Our number one priority has always been to provide quality care at an affordable cost. The demands of maintaining quality have surpassed the time and affordability I can spread myself between the business and my family. The two are no longer in balance. Being a business owner in today’s economy brings new challenges to an already overwhelming list of responsibilities.

As mentioned the opportunity knocked, we did not seek. My initial response was a decline and I went about staying on task, when it knocked a second time I couldn’t help but realize its knock was with purpose. I’m a person of faith and believe things do not happen by chance. The new owner is a seven year experienced owner of another school in West Palm Beach. I feel we could not have hand-picked a better owner to continue with the quality of care and education you’ve grown accustomed to. I would introduce the new owner as an advocate of care and education in the early years, and one who is very involved with industry memberships and organizations.

With respect to you and your children, I apologize for the short notice this letter brings, but both parties have been obligated to comply with a legal confidentiality agreement until terms were final. Today makes it final, and the new owner will step in as of Monday, Aug. 9th. Believe me…this has been a heavy load to carry daily, and I realize in writing this to you for the first time the reality of all this has hit me. I value all of you and want what is best for all involved. With that, I’m excited that Ms. Ashley has been able to train with me as Director and complete her continuing education to achieve her Director’s Credential. I know, with confidence, you are in good hands with her and the loving and dedicated teachers that make this operation stand out from the rest. Additionally, I will work closely with new owner making this a smooth transition for us all.

I will miss you and your children; thank you sincerely for your faith and trust in me and our program.
